Live! Live the wonderful life that is in you! Let nothing be lost upon you. Be always searching for new sensations. Be afraid of nothing.
I consider myself a fashion enthusiast, why do I love fashion so much you might wonder? Fashion is more than just the clothes on your back that you use to conceal your skin, Fashion is an art, it is curated and created by passionate talented individuals that choose fashion to tell a story or send a message, the craftsmanship and time that goes into creating clothing is beautiful and deeply unappreciated by consumers, due to the rise of fast fashion brands. There was a time where people admired each piece of clothing they bought, and they would cherish and protect these clothes so they would last and maybe one day end up in their daughter’s wardrobe, because they appreciated them. In today’s throwaway society, clothing is purchased for one day and on a land fill the next. The mass production of fast fashion is teaching consumers it is ok to buy a dress for one day, I know this as I used to be one of those people. The labour of creating clothing is completely disregarded, there is no creativity, no thought of durability.
So, if you already like what you are reading, I invite you to dive into this journey with me to help educate myself and others, on how to be more sustainable when purchasing clothing, and start to bring back the lost admiration for fashion.
