Delighted to say I received a first on my second assignment of the year in visual practice 1. The unit’s brief was to develop a campaign concept for a fashion brand based upon a social issue along with a campaign development portfolio which includes an in-depth look at the brand, market and idea generation etc. The brand I decided to go with was Saint Laurent and the campaign’s social issue was inequality in the workplace, highlighting the inequality between men and women.
The campaign was titled ‘Not your good girl’, and it featured images of a woman in a working environment wearing outfits Synonymous with power dressing to emphasise the message of strength. The photos also featured slogans such as ‘not your good girl’ and ‘not your idea’, with the purpose of spreading the message of equality, and female empowerment. This campaign’s aim is to educate individuals on the importance of equality within the workplace, by sharing comments, and actions women are subjected to help women speak out. Here is the final outcome of the ‘Not Your’ Zine.
